Canada-based, mobile content platform, PlayIt Interactive, has raised USD 1.1 million in a fresh round of funding, reports CIOL. The company aims to utilize the raised funds for establish its sports brands, business and product development activities in Indian market as well as to deploy its mobile fan engagement offering to media companies.
The company’s office is expected to be opened in Mumbai, also plans to recruit local talent to enhance and localize its product offering as well as manage local partnerships.
Launched in 2013, piloted its engagement platform via a Football app and saw over 500,000 users, with an average user session time of over 14 minutes during the FIFA World Cup event. It offers a variety of products for mobile gaming in emerging market such as Play It Football, Play It Cricket, Plat It Gaming.com and Plat It Game Centre.
