Idea cellular has launched two new 3G Android smartphones in India- Idea Ultra+ and Idea FAB priced at INR 8,300 and INR 4,999 respectively, reports NDTV Gadgets. Both the devices are expected to be sold it the Idea Cellular’s Key 3G markets including Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Kerala, Maharashtra & Goa, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh (East), Uttar Pradesh (West), and Punjab through its retail channels.
Idea will use a below-the-line marketing strategy, states Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Idea Cellular.
The Idea Ultra+ comes with Dual-SIM slot, powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 2000mAh Battery capacity, 4GB ROM, expandable up to 32GB and supports Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It’s another features include a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 480×854 pixel and an 8MP camera with auto focus and a VGA front facing camera. The smartphone’s connectivity option includes the Ultra+ supports 2G, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB 2.0.

The Idea Fab is an entry-level smartphone include a 4-inch Display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels, powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, dual-SIM, 4GB internal storage and 32GB expandable storage, 1660mAh Battery capacity and 3.2MP rear camera with flash. It supports Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system Wi-Fi hotspot and GPS connectivity.

Digit says: Like all other Idea 3G smartphones, the new devices also come with a special offer for Idea 3G users offering 3G data benefits of 1.6 GB 3G data and Free Idea TV for 3 months, with a pack priced at Rs. 259 for existing subscribers, and 1.6 GB 3G data and Free Idea TV for 3 months, with a pack priced at Rs. 261 for new subscribers.
Idea has consistently focussed on budget smartphones bundled with its data and voice benefits. The telco recently launched the Ultra II and !d 1000 3G Android smartphones.
