In order to connect the Indian online consumers with the right e-commerce partner, coupon aggregation site CouponzGuru has launched a social campaign called ‘Guruwaar ke Din Guru ka Gyaan’, where an online mascot named Guru will give advice about online shopping every Thursday. These won’t just be restricted to shopping tips but will also tell people about the offers of the day.
The company is trying to assist online shoppers with buying suggestions, at the same time showcase the offers running on e-commerce portals in India across apparel, travel and online food ordering. The campaign will run every Thursday on the CouponzGuru’s Twitter and Facebook.
When asked why to have a mascot for a social campaign, Vikash Khetan, CEO, CouponzGuru, responded “Since our brand name has “Guru” in it, this campaign was the ideal time to launch Guru Ji. He isn’t just restricted to this campaign. In his own quirky way he will enlighten customers about the various offers and also give them tips about where to shop. But each time our Guru Ji does it he will use brands and offers as medicine.”
Unlike conventional Guru Jis, this Guru Ji appears to be modern and cool.
“He had to look cool and someone who could connect with today’s youth. They know who to seek advice from and when it comes to online shopping they will not go to someone who looks outdated.” added Vikash.
