Autodesk’s Pixlr Photo Editor Introduces Desktop Versions for Mac and Windows

Autodesk has introduced Pixlr in a new desktop edition for Mac and Windows that allows users to edit their pictures, after opening free pixlr account and applying effects, overlays, stickers, borders etc. The new desktop version offers a collection of tools like fun stylize filters to make sketches and watercolor paintings of photos as well as Introducing Influence Masks to correct and apply advance editing to images.

Recently, Autodesk had also unveiled Pixlr Express App for iOS and Android.

pixlrThe new version is free and has same features just like Web Pixlr Editor and mobile Pixlr Express. A Pro membership provides unlimited creativity, automatic updates, full masking controls, greater control over specific photo enhancements and new features is expected to be added to app over time. This service is offered as a subscription includes USD 1.99/month or USD 14.99/year.

As pointed out by The Next Web report, this new version of Pixlr can offer more advanced features such as high resolution output, complete preservation and presentation of image metadata, the use of any font on your system and blending modes for composites and special effects.

The new effects has updated for all three versions: Pixlr Desktop, Pixlr Mobile and Pixlr web apps and users can download it  from Autodesk’s website or from the Mac App Store.
