Apple Plans to Launch 12.9-Inch iPad in Early 2015

The Cupertino, California-based company, Apple Inc is planning to unveil a 12.9-inch version of its iPad in early 2015, reports Bloomberg.

The new iPad will have a screen measuring 12.9 inches diagonally, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the details are not officially public. Apple currently produces iPads with 9.7-inch and 7.9-inch displays. The company has been working with suppliers for at least a year to develop a new range of larger touch-screen devices, said the people with knowledge of the new product.

According to a recent report by Wall Street Journal, it was testing iPads with less than 13-inch display. Also, Korea Times reported that the company was developing a 12.9-inch tablet that was set to launch early this year.

Apple is expected to release a latest version of its 4-inch iPhone next month, but company didn’t disclose the plans till now, as per Reuters report. It had also made partnership with IBM to fuel the company’s tablet sales growth. The company was also looking forward to introduce a split-screen feature in the iPad in its new iOS8.

According to its latest quarterly earning report, Apple sold 35.20 million iPhones, 13.27 million iPads, 4.41 million Macs and 2.96 million iPods. It is planning an event in the mid-September to announce the iPhone 6 and provide final details on iOS 8.

Also, Apple Inc. has finally taken its step towards smart home technology market by introducing Home Kit, a platform for smart home accessories. Along with this app, Apple has also announced new products and updates including iOS software for iPhones and iPads, new language of coding known as Swift.

Apple has also announced its plans to launch a new platform for using its iOS devices as smart home controller. It is also expanding its iCloud storage services to store and sync files of any type for iCloud. Recently, the company has also launched new iPhones and iPads and is now planning to launch internet connected watch to expands its reach in wearable technology.
