Knowlarity Secures USD 16M in Series B from Sequoia Capital and Mayfield Fund

Singapore-Headquartered, cloud based telephony service provider company, Knowlarity has secured USD 16 million in Series B round led by Sequoia Capital and Mayfield Fund. Earlier, it had raised USD 6.5 million in Series A funding and an undisclosed amount in Seed investment. The latest round brings the total capital of the company to date is USD 22.5 million.

It aims to utilize the new funds to invest in Research & Development as well as expand internationally. The company having offices in Gurgaon, Mumbai & Bangalore and claims to have 6500 paying customers worldwide.

Recently, it had acquired Unicom Techlabs, a cloud telephony startup based in Delhi. Knowlarity’s products ( SmartVR, SuperReceptionist, SuperFax, Super Conference) is expected to process more than a million calls an hour. It also provides voice applications to small and medium enterprises.

Till date, Sequoia Capital had invested in 723 companies and secured USD 530 million in Seven Funds. The firm invests between USD 100,000 and USD 1 million in seed stage, between USD 1 million and USD 10 million in early stage, and between USD 10 million and USD 100 million in growth stage.

Mayfield Fund had made 222 investments till date and raised over USD 2.8 billion of investor commitments across 13 private equity funds.
