New Delhi-Headquartered Akosha which resolves consumer complaints has raised USD 5 million in Series A round led by Sequoia Capital. Earlier, it had raised USD 200,000 in seed investment. The latest round brings the total capital to date by the company is USD 5.2 million.
The company aims to utilize the raised funds for technology development as well as to provide more enterprise solutions and management solutions. Its enterprise solutions include online feedback CRM and customer service benchmarking.
Akosha was launched in 2010 by Founders Avinash Vankadaru, Vishal Pal Chaudhary and Ankur Singla. It helps Indian consumers in resolving their complaints and approaching a consumer forum for redressal.
The company said,”As of June 2014, it received over 790,000 customer service issues across various sectors.” It has filed 7.9 lakh complaints in which 61% have resolved. It offers 350+ brands such as Aircel, GroupOn, Voltas, Snapdeal, Micromax, MakemyTrip and others.
