MeraEvents secures USD 1M from OMICS International; Plans to raise another USD 4M soon

MeraEvents, an event technology solution provider, has raised USD 1 million led by OMICS International. The company aims to utilize the raised funds to fuel expansion, sales & marketing, customer service, accelerate product growth and expands its existing operations to other cities. Currently, it has offices in six cities and plans to raise another USD 4 million in the coming next months.

The company has provided technology solutions to more than 10,000 events and is planning to target 25,000 events this year. It has grown its employee base from 6 to over 40 and plans to reach 100+ people by the end of this year.

Sharing his views about the investment, Dr. Srinubabu, Managing Director & CEO of OMICS International said, “As demonstrated by their remarkable growth and widespread adoption, MeraEvents clearly leads the market in the development and delivery of event technology solutions. MeraEvents was launched in 2009, as a venture of Founder & CEO Chennapa Naidu Darapaneni. It is known for providing solutions like EasyTag, Digibroc, MoozUp, and Venues. The firm sells tickets having worth more than INR 1 Crore per month and has associated with more than 13,000 event organizers across the country.

“Partnering with OMICS International is an additional value to the company and it gives us the global reach and utilizing the technology of us for the 300 scientific and medical conferences planned by OMICS International during the year,” said Naidu Darapaneni.
