New Delhi-based Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has unveiled an Android-based dual SIM Blaze 5.0 smartphone at INR 10,999 runs on Android Jellybean 4.1. The device will be launched in 9 cities – Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, UP West, West Bengal and Kolkata.
It comes with a 5-inch touch screen, 8.0 mega-pixel auto-focus camera and a 0.3 MP front camera, packed with 2500 mAH battery, with 4GB internal storage expandable upto 32 GB. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 quad-core processor along with 1 GB of RAM. The company is also focussing on data services along with smartphone launch.
The connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and USB 2.0. Other features include gravity sensor, proximity sensor and light sensor and some exclusive apps such as MTS Playground, MTS TV and MTS Wizard.
MTS Playground music app lets users download and listen to songs, the MTS TV app lets them stream over 100 TV channels on the smartphone. MTS Wizard lets users activate their smartphone, pay bills and more.
ZEE News says:The handset comes bundled with an MTS SIM card that will give the customers data worth 100,000 MB for usage. It will have a one year validity.

Given this reality, MTS India is focused on introducing products and services that are built for a fantastic data experience.”
Economic Times says: The new launch is in line with the company’s increasing focus on data services. Its non-voice revenue saw significant rise of 35.3% during the quarter ended March 31, 2014.
