Delhi Government launches Online Travel Portal

One can find a number of websites today providing an array of services for travel information, planning a trip, personalised itinerary building and transacting online. Delhi government has now launched an online travel portal known as ‘E-Paryatan’, which will provide facilities for booking tickets, hotels and transport availability, as per an Economic Times report.

Launching the portal, chief secretary, Mr S K Srivastava said that it is a unique facility for the government servants perusing LTC and office tours. He expressed hope that people will take benefit of e-portal for getting package tours and availing transport facilities. Government officers will also take benefit of this portal in booking their tickets. (As reported by BGR)

As the global recognition, Delhi is attracting large number of domestic and International tourists and the city is undisputedly climbing the ladder over the years. Delhi Tourism as part of its endeavour to present Delhi as the modern and tourist friendly city has taken a lot of initiatives in the past.

Now with the start of online travel portal, E -Ticketing, it will provide an array of services, such as packages for domestic as well as International sector, bus bookings, visa and travel insurance service for government, general public and tourists. (As covered by The Statesman)

More from Economic Times: The portal was developed by Delhi Tourism department in association with D Paul’s Travels. Using this portal, Delhi Tourism department will provide services to national and international tourists through its website, a statement issued by the Tourism Department said.
