New York based mobile ad serving platform Mocean Mobile has been acquired by California based PubMatic for an undisclosed sum. This acquisition, will extend the infrastructure and technology underlying pubmatic multi-screen capabilities and accelerate programmatic mobile offering across direct as well as indirect sales.
Mocean Mobile’s 40 member team will now join Pubmatic’s office in New York and London. It will continue to work with Mocean Mobile’s 50 premium publishers, as well as more than 70 third-party mediation partners. This will bring the company’s technology to global market and increase product development across the company’s mobile platform.
Mocean Mobile was co-founded in 2009 and is having offices in San Francisco, Boston and London. It offers techniques, tools and analytics for publishers and mobile ad network, to integrate with rich media providers in the industry. The firm combines state-of-the-art direct sales campaign management with ad network mediation for the mobile world.

Pubmatic’s technology platform, offers advanced mobile capabilities, which are utilized by a global roster of comScore publishers. Also, it has launched a global location-enabled mobile marketplace with xAD.
