LinkedIn seems to be experimenting with its User Interface. Following Facebook’s lead, it is also adopting a card layout for displaying the content. All news, connections, suggestions etc. are presented in a block form. Also, filtering and switching between content types has been made cleaner with an updates panel on left hand side.
The update has not been rolled out for everyone. Refer to the images below to see the new layout.
LinkedIn doesn’t seem to have made an announcement about the change yet. However it could be speculated that, like Facebook, despite of having a dedicated mobile app it is going mobile first in its website strategy, to give a consistent experience to its users.
