Infosys Director invests in wearable device maker, GetActive

Bangalore based, the maker of physical tracking device, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Infosys director TV Mohandas Pai, reports The Economic Times. The former infosys CTO Sharad Hedge, has also participated in the round.

The raised funds will be used in expanding its operations in financial and retail sectors and providing disease management solutions. GetActive is known for its wearable gadgets, the fitness tracker that uploads your daily physical activity information online.

“They have created a beautiful product”, said TV Mohandas Pai. the other companies such as Jawbone, nike and Fitbit are also developing physical tracker devices but GetActive offers services with expert advice with a wealth of experience.

Founded by Mohammed Hussain Naseem, GetActive is at present adopted by 10,000 consumers. it works with corporates such as ICICI, Wipro and SAP and sells the products through retailers Myntra and Flipkart.

“It is popular with many of our colleagues and I use it myself. It is creating an active and healthy team,” said Ashok Soota, executive chairman at Happiest Minds Technologies.

It has also launched others products like GetActive walkometer, Tapp and Slim which can track your fitness Status.
