Google is reportedly testing to bring in new features for Gmail, per a Business Insider report. However, there is still no clarity on when the update would be available. As anticipated, the changes will be slow as well as optional, just like its previous updates.
Last year, Google has completely revamped the Gmail inbox which can group mail into categories which appear as different tabs such as Primary, Social, Promotions and Update.
Now, it seems that it is experimenting with organizing the left side menu, which includes chats, inbox, labels, etc., on the web screen in a better manner. As revealed from a few leaked insights of the new look on Geek, the new version will line up all tabs in sync with each other along with the collapsible Hangout on the opposite side of the screen.
Google has not revelaed any expected date for announcing these features yet.
