CitrusPay ties up with ReD against online fraud
Mumbai based payment solutions provider has collaborated with ReD, a global fraud prevention company to integrate its solution ReDshield in Citrus Pay’s checkout process. The step aims at increasing users confidence in online transactions as well as help merchants associated with Citrus in risk mitigation.
The research shows that currently India is overtaking Japan, to become the world’s third-largest online market in terms of internet user base, growing at 31 per cent, after China and the US.
According to the 2013 Norton Report, the global price tag of consumer cybercrime stands at 113 billion dollars and India’s share in the financial loss pie is 4 billion dollars. Also, it has been noticed that even 63 percent of those surveyed own smartphones and 30 percent own tablets, nearly one-in-two don’t take basic precautions such as using passwords, having security software or backing up files on their mobile device.

goPaisa adds Flipkart rewards on purchase
goPaisa is the first Indian deals and coupon site which has roped in Flipkart rewards on purchase. The cash back site currently offers its services to over 300 portals.
It will be offering upto 8% reward on top of discounts and deals which are always on at Flipkart.com. With Flipkart Rewards, the company aims at driving over 400-500 transactions to Flipkart every day within next 3 months, and drive sales of over Rs.5 crore on monthly basis.
The rewards earned by goPaisa users can be used to recharge mobile or DTH or even order shopping vouchers for flipkart or even other online shopping majors.
“This will allow us to target even wider audience with our cashback offerings, as large chunk of Indian online buyers are Flipkart loyalists and only shop on Flipkart.com. We look forward to help Indian consumers save a lot more while they shop,” said Aman Jain, Founder & CEO at Gopaisa.com.
Justdial adds online travel and ticketing services
Since the launch of its IPO in April last year, the online classifieds company is extending its portfolio as well as revenue resources. In mid-2013, the portal also marked entry into the online food ordering space
As per an ET report, the online travel transactions have been a major contributor to the growth of digital commerce in the country. It currently has a share of 73% in digital commerce.
Snapdeal launches e-window; aims to triple its seller base
In order to provide Indian entrepreneurs an access to its 2.5 crore users, Snapdeal has launched a platform, “Launchpad”, reports ET. This will allow them to showcase their designed products on the snapdeal marketplace.
The portal will provide the product builders marketing, logistics and distribution services. The products can be listed for free on the website, however, a small percentage will be charged for each transaction made on the site.
With a large number of SME’s turning to the online sales, the ecommerce site also aims at increasing its seller base to 1 lakh in the next one year. “On any given day, we get about 1,000 enquiries and about 15-20 percent of them get added and this is happened mostly based on word-of-mouth from existing sellers,” said Snapdeal.com co-founder and CEO Kunal Bahl to MoneyControl.
