Twitter was testing for a new user profile design for quite sometime and now it has rolled it out for a small group, per David Bellona’s Twitter blog post. The new profile pages are customizable and are more like Facebook ones with a larger profile photo.
The users can now showcase their best and pinned tweets. Also, they can choose which timeline to view when checking out other profiles. Select from these options: Tweets, Tweets with photos/videos, or Tweets and replies.
So, how is it similar to Facebook profile page. have a look here:
1) Both have a ‘Cover Page’ to post larger photos and the profile picture is more visible. Also, the positioning is same.
2) Both profiles show their posts (tweets in case of Twitter) in columns.
3) Both follows a two column layout for displaying the posts/tweets that have an image or video tweets/text appearing in card-like boxes.
The existing twitter users will get an access to these features in a few weeks time. However, the new users will automatically get the revamped profiles. To learn how to customize your profiles on twitter, click here.
