PubMatic, a digital advertising company that helps publishers automate the process of evaluating and selling their advertising inventory is expanding its on-ground operations in India.
The company is hiring 100 new employees to join its team, of which 80 will be in technical roles. It is also setting up a new office in Pune and aims to deliver key technology initiatives out of Pune, the company reported.
“PubMatic has grown dramatically since its founding in Pune, and now has employees on the ground in the USA, UK, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore and Australia as well. We have leveraged India’s rich pool of technology talent to bring new and exciting technological innovations to the global advertising technology market,” said Rajeev Goel, CEO and co-founder at PubMatic.
The news has come after around 1 month since the company raised USD 13 million in funding led by Nokia Growth Partners. So far , it has raised USD 76 million in a series of funding rounds.
Founded in 2006 by Amar Goel, Rajeev Goel, Mukul Kumar and Anand Das, PubMatic’s technology platform helps marketers drive value from their digital media assets by providing them with a more personalised advertising experience across display, mobile and video.
Its proprietary technology and mobile capabilities enables online auctions for the buying and selling of media through Real-Time Bidding (RTB) and Private Marketplace (PMP). The company works with hundreds of advertising partners including companies like eBay and NBC.
