International Funding Roundup: Docusign, Borro and more


It is a personal asset finance company that provides short term secured loans against personal assets such as fine art, antiques, jewellery, luxury watches, prestige & classic cars, fine wine and more. It has raised USD 112 million from  Victory Park Capital.



Docusign provides a platform for cloud based electronic signature technology that helps signs documents, contracts. It has raised USD 85 million in a new funding round led by a group of large institutional funds, names of the fund that participated were undisclosed.



The company makes field service softwares to help technicians, companies, customers. It raised USD 71 million in Series E funding led by Meritech Capital and Kleiner Perkins. Other investors who participated in the round included Cross Creek Advisors, QuestMark Partners, Sozo Ventures. The company’s existing investors also contributed in the round. The list includes Emergence Capital Partners, Mayfield Fund, Trinity Ventures, Crosslink Capital, Adams Street Partners, and



It is an online company database giving information on business, accounting and director for the businesses that are registered in UK and Ireland. It has  raised USD 17 million in a Series B round led by Oak Investment Partners along with Notion Capital and Passion Capital.



A Social media and technology blog founded by Pete Cashmore, Mashable works with a focus on social media news. It has recently raised USD 14 million in a Series A investment round led by Tribune Digital Ventures. Other investors who participated in the round include Update Partners, New Markets Venture Partners, Social Starts and a number of individual investors.



Slyce is a category based startup, with  a visual search technology. Using its mobile application,  customers can take photos of products they see in the real world, receive results with identical or similar matched products and make a purchase immediately. It has raised a new round of USD 10.75 million in funding led by Beacon Securities. Other investors who participated in the round include  PI Financial, Salman Partners, Harrington Global and more.



It provides an easy and free way to send encrypted messages without leaving a trace. It has raised USD 9 million in a Series A funding led by Alsop Louie Partners. Other investors included Thor Halvorssen, President of the Human Rights Foundation; Gilman Louie, former head of the C.I.A.’s venture arm In-Q-Tel; networking company Juniper; former counterterrorism tsar, Richard A. Clarke; Eileen Burbidge of Passion Capital in London and sme other investors not disclosed by the company.



Reflektion is a California based predictive analytics startup that helps retailers improve their customer conversion rate. It has raised USD 8 million in Series B funding led by Intel Capital and Nike. The company is planning to use the funding in strengthening its sales, marketing and also launching its e-commerce and business intelligence products.


It offers a brand new way to find and book a perfect hotel. It analyzes over 5,00,000 hotels and compare the prices from all the major hotel booking sites and provide customers with the best deals of top 10 hotel in any destination worldwide. It has raised USD 8 million in Series B funding round, led by Balderton Capital.


New York based Zumper is an apartment rental search company. The company provides tools that helps brokers and property managers to simplify the lists they manage, with mobile and web apps. Zumper has raised USD 6.5 million in a Series A round led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.



Speek provides free conference calling services with no dial-ins, pins or downloads. It has raised USD 5.1 million in Series A funding. The round includes USD 2.7 million in previously raised convertible notes, plus new investment from 500 Startups, Edward Norton, CNF Investments, Middleland Capital, and others



Peek is a travel site that has expanded its reach to 19 different locations. It provides information to travellers regarding best things to do, places to see, restaurants to visit, etc. It also provide them with a list of variety of activities that can be booked online. It has raised USD 5 million in a funding round led by Todd Kimmel and Montage Ventures. The financing round also includes investment from Orbitz and HotelTonight board member Brad Gerstner, as well as StubHub co-founder Jeff Fluhr.



TreSensa is a NYC based mobile/web games development and distribution company. It has raised USD 2 million in Series A funding led by Caribou Asset Management,  Other investors who participated in the round include  participation from Tremor Video, American Media, and AdMeld.



Influx provides customer support for online businesses. The company helps tech startups and other online businesses to provide quality customer support while they are increasing their scale. It has raised USD 250,000 in seed funding from Mark Harbottle And Leni Mayo.
