Google Doodle wishes International Women’s Day
On Friday, Google came out with an early Doodle to celebrate International Women’s Day. The colourful doodle shows tiny women figurines dancing in a playful manner. This day, that celebrates womanhood every year, is marked on March 8.
Google has made a video showcasing women from across the world. Happy women, girls and even babies from different races and geographies are the stars of this short clip, including renowned faces like Malala Yousafzai, Asha Bhonsle and so on. Started in early 1900s, the day was first observed in support of women demanding equal rights as men and better working conditions.
The day is observed at various social, commercial and political organisations around the world, and now online businesses are observing this trend too. Different online retailers, such as Myntra, Amazon etc. are offering special women’s day discounts.
iamWire wishes a Happy International Women’s Day to everyone.
