Citrus’ Project0 to nullify Payment Gateway issues


Citrus Pay, after its ‘Death of Chutta’ app, has now launched ‘Project 0’ for merchants. This aims at reducing the delays faced in starting an online business due to payment gateway integration issues. The platform will now allow merchants to accept payments from day one while all their bank approvals and documentation work is taken care by the citrus pay team.

As claimed, using Project ‘0’ ensures that merchants can avail of all the services offered at a single point. Also, it will greatly benefit smaller merchants as it ensures a faster turnaround time, who are probably going online for the first time.

To connect with the project, a merchant just need to pick the suitable plan, enter the required information, make payment and upload the digital format of documents needed by banks.

The monthly charges for using the service is INR 500 (for less than 100 transactions) as well as a 2.5 per cent commission fee for every transaction. The cost further increases with an increase in number of transactions and addition of more services. Initially, one needs to pay INR 3000 in advance as a usage fee for six months, which will be refunded, once they go live, within 2 months of signing up.

The project was initially started in beta in February this year and had over 200 merchants successfully launch their online payment facilities using Citrus’ web based system. It can be used to connect with both their mobile and web stores.

The company is currently headquartered in Mumbai and has clients such as Airtel, Make My Trip, PVR, Indigo Airlines, Fun Cinemas, Delhi Metro, NIFT, Healthkart, Lenskart, Watchkart, Quickheal, Sundirect, Tata Aia, Pepperfry, Kidzania and Zivame.
