Mumbai based location search startup, Pricebaba is planning to raise USD 3 Mn in Series A round by March 2014, as reported by Startupcentral. The team plans to utilize the raised funds in further fueling its expansion plans.
Also, it has been disclosed that Pricebaba raised a second seed round of an undisclosed amount in November last year from 500Startup Wallah, 500 Startups’ $5 million India-dedicated fund. The other details regarding the terms of the deal and the investors remain undisclosed.
Founded in 2011 by by Annkur P Agarwal and Tirthesh J Ganatra, the startup was among the five Indian Startups that joined the Spring 2013 batch of 500 Startups
Pricebaba helps shoppers to search prices in their vicinity. It connects mobile shoppers to the offline mobile shops, and currently has 5 cities listed on their platform including Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune and Delhi-NCR with over 1000 retailers.
Previously, in December 2012, it had raised undisclosed amount of funding in seed investment from 5 investors, which was led by Pune based angel investor and entrepreneur Karamveer Singh, Dinesh Tejwani (Fast Fact Computer Systems), Aditya Mishra (Founder & CEO, SwitchMe.in), Ashutosh Rathi (Basil Partners) and Ranjeet Walunj (The Service Solutions). Then, later in May 2013, the startup raised another undisclosed funding in a seed round from 500 Startups.
