Mobstac, a Bangalore based mobile publishing cloud platform has raised USD 2 Mn in Series B funding from Accel Partners and Cisco. The team plans to use the raised funds in further expanding its product offering for consumer brands looking to tap into the growing mobile commerce market.
With this round, the total funding for the company comes to USD 3.1 Mn. Previously, it has raised Series A funding from Accel Partners and Mumbai Angels in November 2011 (USD 400, 00) and Seed funding from a group of angel investors in 2009 (USD 75, 000).
Founded in 2009, the Mobstac platform allows seamless integration with existing website and makes content accessible to mobile and tablet devices through mobile sites and apps. It allows publishing of content once and manages sites across all mobile and tablet devices through a unified dashboard. Its offers products in Basic, Pro & Enterprise versions.

As per the reports, Mobstac has already got 4 beta customers using its new platform. The existing customers include various publishers, businesses, and e-commerce companies globally such as The Hindu, Times Internet, alivenow and enchanting India. It currently competes with Vancouver-based Mobify and San Francisco-headquartered Moovweb.
