Italian Cosmetic brand, Bottega Di Lungavita forays into online space

bottegadilungavitaThe Italian cosmetic company Officiana Farmaceutica Italiana (OFI), with its brand Bottega Di Lungavita, after making its foray into the Indian brick and mortar space few months back, has now launched its own website as a part of its expansion strategy.

As per the reports, the company made its move in India through a joint venture with Sanpellegrino Cosmetics, a New Delhi based venture. Also, India is OFI’s first international market, being regarded as the test case for further expansion in the international markets.

With this, it aims at tapping the B2B space in the Indian cosmetics segment which is currently being valued at INR 26,400 Cr. The anti-ageing market alone is being valued at INR 1400 Cr with an Y-o-Y growth of 30%.

Bottega Di Lungavita (BDL), currently showcases around 120 products across both personal care and cosmetic solutions on the site. For instance, an anti-ageing line with over 15 solutions, whitening products, cosmetic solutions for expecting and post-natal mothers, a baby care range, anti-cellulite concentrates and supplements etc. are some of the many wellness and beauty remedies one can access via the website.

As per Mr. Arjun Khurana, Managing Director, OFI, customers of BDL will find the interface, product range and related content of the website extremely useful and easy to navigate.


At present the products are available in a price range of INR 700 to 3500 with free shipping avaliable only  for orders above value Rs 1000. The company has partnered with Delhivery for fulfilling its logistics and shipping requirements in India. The site offers COD as well as all other payment methods on purchase of products.

Besides a wide product range, the website also hosts a comprehensive section on beauty and cosmetic tips, valuable inputs by experts on personal care and natural dietary supplements.

BDL has around 30 physical placements in Northern India and is currently operating out of Gurgaon. On asking about the response so far, Arjun said that the site received 1200 hits on the very first day of launch. And before launching the website, the products were already selling on sites like Firstcry, Fashionandyou, Amazon, etc.

The other players operating in the online B2C cosmetics space are Nykaa, and Healthkart.
