Internet penetration in India is on a rapid rise, crossing 200 Mn users recently, and a chunk of this is formed by 8-12 year olds. These pre-teens, or Tweens, are increasingly using the internet for homework, games or even social networking. McAfee recently conducted a survey of Indian tweens, including 572 male and 428 female respondents from Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Delhi. Here are some key findings as reported by the Economic Times and other sources.
