Getit launches local search and classified services in Malaysia

get-itEarlier this year local search engine platform, Getit Infomedia, had revealed its plans to enter overseas market. And now its international arm, Getit Transnational, has announced that it is launching local search and classifieds services in Malaysia, in association with Maxis Berhad (Maxis), Malaysia’s only integrated communications service provider.

The services will be marketed under the brand ‘FINDIT – Malaysia’.

The company has entered into an exclusive agreement with Maxis to make FINDIT services available to all Maxis users via USSD, Mobile Apps, WAP and WEB services.

Speaking on the launch, T Kugan, Maxis’ Head of Digital Services, said, “Our partnership with Getit is another positive step forward in bringing innovative services to our consumers and enterprise customers. The products envisaged have immense use in a consumer’s day to day life, the platform and technology is cutting edge and it all integrates seamlessly into our portfolio.”

This is the first transnational setup by the company, and per its Executive Director, Sidharth Gupta, it is looking forward to expand further in new market.

As of now Getit has raised INR 120 Cr in funding by Helion Ventures (INR 20 Cr) & Malaysian investor Astro (INR 100 Cr).
