FreshDesk, the online help desk software solution has recently raised USD 7 million in another funding round from its existing investors Accel Partners and Tiger Global, according to an SEC filing. The news was first reported by NextBigWhat.
There is currently no information provided by the the company regarding the terms of the deal and its plans to use the raised funding.
Prior this round, Freshdesk raised USD 5 million from Accel Partners and Tiger Global in April 2013 and USD 1 million from Accel Partners in December 2011.
For those who don’t know about Freshdesk, its a SaaS-based social customer service platform that enables small and medium enterprises to have a professional and modern customer support system. It offers multi product support, knowledge base, self service portal, community fora and tools to leverage mainstream social media for strengthening customer support.
Founded in 2010, Freshdesk reached its 10,000 customer base earlier in September 2013. Few of its well known customers include Goodreads (an Amazon company), Pearson, WHO and Makemytrip.
The service works on a Freemium pricing model where the product is absolutely free for the first three agents. Thereafter, pricing plans start as low as USD 15 per agent per month.
