Facebook is said to be in early stage discussions to acquire Bangalore-based app-monitoring solutions startup Little Eye Labs. If the reports are true, this will be Facebook’s first ever acquisition in India.
Founded in 2012, Little Eye Labs develops mobile app analysis tools for app developers and testers to measure, analyze and optimize their apps. Its Visual Correlation Engine provides data along with relevant context, making analysis and subsequent management of the app easy and meaningful.
The company had also raised an undisclosed amount of funding in its seed round earlier in August from GSF accelerator.
For Facebook, which now has over 114 million users in India, the country looks like an attractive market. Moreover, Facebook has been vocal about its mission to expand globally, with Asia and the Middle East being two of its most sought after sectors. Expanding in India – where internet penetration is going to rise significantly in time to come – would be a big deal for the company’s future.
