A Bangalore based startup called Eventifier, has raised USD 500,000 in seed funding from Accel Partners and KAE Capital. The company collates all the content from various social media portals for a particular event at one place.
According to TC, the funding will be used to hire data scientists and for sales and marketing.
Eventifier eases the trouble of event organisers that is involved in collecting and aggregating all the online content related to an event, generated across social networks like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram etc.
Particularly for a large scale event when there is a big audience coming in, the number of Tweets, Facebook likes and YouTube uploads is huge. Eventifier automatically starts curating the user generated media by tracking different elements on different channels, eg. # tags on Twitter, and presents a detailed analytical report of how popular an event was online.
The company was founded by Jazeel Badur Ferry, Nazim Zeeshan and Mohammed Saud in 2012. And had raised USD 50,000 from the Startup Center as initial funding. KAE Capital had invested an undisclosed amount in the same, earlier this year.
