Meritnation for iOS and Android, an online K-12 education portal for students has launched its mobile app for Android and iOS.

The app is designed in a self-guided format, which has study material divided into three categories: Study, Test & Revise across all subjects. It also has in-depth videos that users can apps for students earlier this week to allow access Meritnation while on the go.

The app currently caters to CBSE, ICSE, Karnataka, Kerala & Tamil Nadu boards for classes VI to XII. The app at users in metros between the age groups of 12-18 who use smartphones to connect online.

Viber for Windows 8

Instant messaging service Viber on Wednesday launched its Windows 8 app, bringing the messaging andVoIP platform to tablet and desktop devices running the latest Windows OS.

To distinguish it from other mobile platform apps, it has a few Windows 8 only features, like live tiles and lock screen notifications. The other features include, pin Viber conversations to the Start screen, search for Viber contacts, Viber messaging, free calls, stickers among other. The new version of Viber can be downloaded from Viber website.

Bangalore police’s auto reviews app for Android

Bangalore City traffic police is soon launching its android app as part of Happy Auto campaign which would act as a platform for crowdsourced auto reviews providing all auto complaints as well as appreciation. The idea is to bring out the real-time auto experience.

According to the report, the photo shoot and voice recording of the promos are done and the app will be released soon. The city traffic police also manages a dedicated Facebook page for people to file complaint of any sort related to traffic.
