Indian social networking site Stepout has merged its operations with Twoo, a Belgium based social discovery service.
A post on Twoo’s website says, “Stepout has joined the forces with Twoo”, even the link for the Stepout’s website redirected us to the Twoo’s website.
No details of the deal are available at the current point of time, however we have written to the company to know more about the same.
Formerly known as Ignighter, Stepout was a part of the TechStars 2008, and the company has raised up to Series B round of funding as per Crunchbase. In Series A it has raised USD 3 Mn in 2011 and later it had raised USD 2.42 Mn in Series B funding in 2012.
Stepout is a social networking website and is also known as an online dating site which allows users to meet people based upon their common interest and location.
Twoo was launched in 2011, and is a product of Massive Media, which was acquired by Meetic (InterActiveCorp) for USD 25 Mn. It’s a social discovery site with about 10 Mn monthly active users, and has presence in over 200 countries, in 38 languages.
