Mobstac introduces HTML5stac, a cloud platform targeted at HTML5 and JavaScript developers

mobstacBangalore based, mobile publishing cloud platform, MobStac has launched HTML5stac, a cloud platform aimed at HTML5 and JavaScript developers for easily building fast responsive websites and hybrid mobile apps that work seamlessly across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.

“Over the past year, as we found ourselves working with a diverse set of customers spread out across the world, we heard a common refrain. We increasingly found them asking if there was a way for their own web development or IT team to extend the Mobstac platform…” states a blogpost by the company.

People interest and JavaScript being among popular programming language across the world, made company to introduce JavaScript based platform.

The platform will provide following features:

  • JavaScript everywhere: both on the client & server-side

  • RESTful APIs for all data objects

  • Live API console & data inspector

  • Device-aware templating built on Handlebars.js

HTML5stac uses libraries like Backbone.js, and the Bootstrap front-end framework to make start easier.

In Touchsite, the company experimented with JavaScript to the point that it found that this cuts amount of server-side programming required by 70%. “With frameworks like Node.js, it is now possible to run the same JavaScript code both on the client and server side, making development cycles even shorter than before,” says the company.

Founded in 2009, MobStac is based out of Bangalore, and has raised funding from Accel Partners and Mumbai Angels in November 2011. The platform allows seamless integration with existing website and makes content accessible to mobile and tablet devices through mobile sites and apps. It allows publishing of content once and manages sites across all mobile and tablet devices through a unified dashboard. Its offers products in Basic, Pro & Enterprise versions
