MobiKwik launches app for Microsoft Windows smartphones
Mobile wallet player, MobiKwik, has recently launched its app for the Windows phone platform, the development of the MobiKwik App is a joint effort with Microsoft.
MobiKwik provides users with a convenience and security to purchase goods and services on third party merchant websites, recharge prepaid and post-paid mobile, television/DTH, data cards and make bill payments for broadband/landline phones, electricity, gas and insurance.
The MobiKwik App has already received a good response and is leading in various categories on the Windows App store including the shopping category, the overall ‘Top Free’ and is also among the ‘Top+Rising’ list of all the apps on Windows Phone store.
The app also has a number of payment options including SBI (State Bank of India) , HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank.It support all – credit card, debit card or netbanking. Also, VISA, MASTERCARD, MAESTRO, DINERS & DISCOVER cards are also supported.
Users can also browse plans of mobile operators like Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, etc through the app. With this, users can park money, up to INR 50,000 into the MobiKwik wallet.
The MobiKwik app for the Windows phone platform will be available for Windows Phone 7 & Windows Phone 8.

MobiKwik was launched in 2009, and has a turnover of close to INR 200 Cr and nearly 3 Mn users in India. The company had added the features of online and mobile shopping to its portfolio of services in September this year.
Burpp! updates Android and iOS app
Local lifestyle platform with lifestyle centric listings across 41 cities across the country, burpp! has recently launched an updated version for its Android and iOS app. The new version of the app has 29 new cities, making it a total of 41 cities where users can use the burrp! app, which was previously confined to 12 cities.
New features in the app include:
Users can find restaurants with a specific cuisine across the city.
There is a new burrp! review system – where places are rated based on food, service, ambience, value for money and upload multiple photos with their reviews.
Also, notification feature has been added in the app, where users will be notified every time a new restaurant opens up, or a new events and gigs are their in an area, important announcements like dry days and much more.
Additionally, users can also contribute by flagging reviews as fake/offensive or listings if inaccurate.
Users can now even login with their Facebook, Google, Twitter or Yahoo account from their Android and iOS device. Also, the updated app will also give users with full access to all the features of burrp! TV.
Viber launches new version for Desktop & Blackberry
Instant messaging app, Viber which had recently introduced Viber Sticker market and also updated app for iOS and Android has now launched Viber Desktop 4.0, bringing the latest updates from its major mobile update to the desktop.
The Viber for Desktop will also be supporting the Viber Sticker Market, with this the service will also be available on Linux for the first time, in addition to Windows and Mac.
