Fashionandyou brings changes in the top management
Gurgaon based, eRetailing player Fashionandyou has recently brought in changes in its top management and has shared plans to add up new categories.
As per the company’s announcement, Rajesh Kaul, Ex-Vice President, Supply Chain at Myntra.com, has joined Fashionandyou as the head of Supply chain. The company has also brought in new Marketing Director, Geetu Ahuja – the ex-director, Tyroo and Prashant Shivankutty as the Chief Technical Officer.
News comes in after the company has promoted Aasheesh Mediratta as the new CEO after Abhishek Goyal, the former CEO of the company had quit in April this year.
The company will be moving operations to a new campus in Udyog Vihar, Phase 3. The headquarters will remain in Gurgaon with regional sourcing offices in Bangalore and Mumbai.
99acres promises rigorous checks of listings after “No Muslims Allowed” ad controversy
Online property listing site, 99acres which was recently surrounded by controversy when a broker posted a listing on the website with clearly mentioning ‘no Muslims’ are allowed, has ensured to place more rigorous checks and processes to prevent the recurrence of such listings.
A broker from Mumbai had posted an ad on the website on 23rd October with a text, “Excellent brand new 2BHK fully furnished flat with cross ventilation, natural light. Cosmopolitan society, no Muslims, with car parking on immediate sale, fifth floor interested please call”.
The advertisement was modified on 2nd November, but before that it was noticed by few and even a young lawyer and social activist Shehzad Poonawalla filed a petition with the National Commission for Minorities seeking action against the broker and 99acres.com.
99acres in a statement said that this was brought in their consideration on the 4th November and by that time the advertiser had already modified the contents and removed the offensive portion.
The company also said that they remove listings when they are reported to them and deemed offensive and discriminatory.
“We are deeply embarrassed that our site was misused in this manner,” said the company.
Myntra.com launches customer loyalty program MY Privilege
Online fashion retailer, Myntra has recently introduced a customer loyalty program for its shoppers as a attempt to take relationship with the customers a step further. The program, titled ‘MY Privilege’ is a free membership programme aimed at rewarding its shoppers.
“Through such programs, we are taking our relationship with our customers one step further; creating an ongoing engagement and reward mechanism which builds stronger relationships with them,” said Vikas Ahuja, Chief Marketing Officer, Myntra, on the launch of the loyalty program.
It’s a three-tier program (Platinum, Gold and Silver providing privilege points to all customers who shop on Myntra.com.
One just needs to register on Myntra to become its member and its free for existing customers. As a part of the program, the registered members can earn points that can be used later for redemption and for availing other attractive offers and privileges. Shopped from the past 6 months will get privilege points added to their account by default.
Earlier this year, Myntra had also introduced brand size conversion tool, product exchange facility and a pilot 1-hour delivery service.
