Celebrity eCommerce play, The Label Corp, which is on a mission to bring private labels across different product categories with celebrity endorsements, has added a third chapter to its offerings. After getting in Sussanne Roshan for its home decor private label and Malaika Arora Khan for fashion products, The Label Corp has now got Bipasha Basu for its next fashion accessories portal The Trunk Label.
The announcement about her new venture was made by Bipasha on Twitter a few days back but kept her fans guessing what it is all about.
The store is yet to go live but as mentioned on the homepage it will be offering products like shoes, bags and jewellery styled by Bipasha.
Looks like Bipasha too will be a stakeholder in it just like the other two celebrities associated who are not only endorsing the brand but also hold a stake in their respective private labels.
The Label Corp had raised its Series A round led by Kalaari Capital in August this year and had plans to launch one more label by end of this year which now has come out to be with Bipasha and it will be taking the number of private labels under its kitty to five by the end of next year. It is founded by Preeta Sukhtankar who is a marketing professional and has worked with brands like Elle, MTV, Percept, etc prior launching The Label Corp. The Label Corp had previously raised angel funding from undisclosed investors.
The store is expected to go live on 4th December but Bipasha has already started engaging her followers on Twitter about her new venture, lets see how she will be able to capitalize on her popularity for driving sales for her private label products.
Bipasha has also brought out two fitness-based DVDs – “BB Love Yourself: Fit and Fabulous You” (2010) and ” Breakfree” (2012).
