Sequoia Capital invests USD 4 Mn in Idea Device; JustUnfollow acquires JustMigrate and 3Crumbs

Data center automation platform company,  Idea Device has recently raised USD 4 Mn in Series A funding from Sequoia Capital.

Idea Device provides automation solutions to help enterprises reduce operational errors and manual processes in their datacenters. Its flagship product Epsilon can model complex IT processes across all types of datacenter technologies, allowing Epsilon to be a ‘single pane of glass’ solution for all the automation needs of the datacenter.

“We are very impressed with the team and the cross-platform, agent-less technology built by Idea Device. Their client success at such an early stage is a terrific validation of both the market need and their technical prowess,” said Shailendra Singh, Managing Director, Sequoia Capital India Advisors.

The company is looking for opportunities for global expansion by making inroads into the Singapore and US markets through partnerships and associations. It is also in process of team expansion for expanding its product suite.

Idea devices was initially incubated at NSRCEL, IIM-Bangalore, and has its offices in Mumbai & Singapore with development run out of Bangalore.

JustUnfollow, the friend management app for Twitter & Instagram has acquired migration app JustMigrate and local shopping app 3Crumbs. The company has recently crossed 5 Mn users which was 1 Mn users in August 2012.

While financial details of the acquisition have been left undisclosed but as part of deal both the founders Anirudh Khusape and Siddharth Menon will be joining the JustUnfollow team and the both the products – JustMigrate and 3 Crumbs come under JustUnfollow.

“JustUnfollow is gearing up for the next phase of growth and this cannot be done without the right set of people. The founders of JustMigrate/3 Crumbs have been in the startup space for quite some time now and they’ve been building consumer products for a global audience. We believe having them join our team will help us scale JustUnfollow to the next level,” said Nischal Shetty, co-founder, Codigami Technologies.

JustUnfollow follows a Freemium model, for consumer its free, they can link 1 Twitter and 1 Instagram accounts. For business users, it offer plans that support multiple Twitter and  Instagram accounts, team support and a number of other features and our plans which start from USD 9.99 a month and go up to USD 199.99 per month.

The company is currently beta testing its new feature called ‘Near Me’ which helps one to connect with people at events. The feature will allow people in event to see the participants of the event along with links to their Twitter account in the Near Me screen. It is also working on Filters that will soon help users find answers to questions such as “how many verified users follow me”, “how many of my followers have no profile image”.
