French advertising and public relations company Publicis Groupe is continuing its acquisition spree in India: it has acquired the Mumbai based integrated communications agency Beehive Communications which specializes in marketing and communications services.
The financial details have been left undisclosed by the company.
Post acquisition Beehive will be rebranded as Publicis Beehive and will operate as a unit within Publicis Worldwide’s global network. Under the direction of Beehive Founder and CEO Sanjit Shastri, the current leadership team will continue to lead the agency and will now report to Nakul Chopra, CEO of South Asia for Publicis Worldwide.
Beehive Communication was founded in 2003 and is headquartered in Mumbai, with presence in Delhi and Bangalore. The company has clients across South Asia and has a strength of 130 employees. Its clients include over 50 brands and companies, including Malaysia Tourism, General Motors, Korea Tourism, Jubiliant Retail, India Bulls Finance and Bisleri, among others.
The Publicis Groupe has been expanding its footprint in the country through a number of acquisitions and this would be its 7th acquisition in India since last year. Here is the list of companies acquired by Publicis:

Publicis Groupe currently has more than 3,200 permanent employees across India, through the following global networks: BBH, Digitas, Leo Burnett, MSLGROUP, Publicis Healthcare Communications Group, Publicis Worldwide, Saatchi and Saatchi, Starcom MediaVest Group, and ZenithOptimedia.
Earlier this year Publicis and Omnicom announced the USD 35.1 Bn merger of their global operations.
