Numerify, a cloud analytics startup of tech entrepreneurs of Indian origin, recently raised USD 8 Mn in Series A round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. The company plans to use the raised funds in product development, client build up and improved business analytics solutions for the SaaS application users.
Other investors in the round include Frank Slootman, CEO of ServiceNow; Amit Singh, president of Google Enterprise; Deep Nishar, SVP of products & user experience at LinkedIn; James Ramsey, former EVP of sales at NetSuite and Abhay Parasnis, president & COO of Kony and former SVP of Oracle Public Cloud.
As a lot of businesses have chased the cloud for enterprise solutions within a decade, there are sometimes situations of high turbulence for gaining clear insights particularly for decision makers. That’s where Numerify is betting on the need to gather insights and data from the complex landscape created through this high adoption of SaaS operations applications, making it easier for the decision makers to get the required analytical data.
Numerify aims to disrupt the economics of data analytics which can help to improve the ROI of cloud based analytics solutions. It is currently working on this product in stealth mode, which it plans to launch in 2014.
The company started in 2012 with a co-founding team that includes industry veterans from Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, MicroStrategy and Hyperion, viz. Gaurav Rewari, Srikant Gokulnatha, Bipul Sinha. Currently it is operating from its offices in Cupertino, CA and Bangalore, India.
