IIM Ahmedabad’s mobile and internet startup incubator iAccelerator has recently announced its 2013 batch comprising 10 startups. For this batch the incubator received more than 500 applications, and these startups were chosen after 3 months of residential program.
iAccelerator 2013 kicked off on 2nd September and will culminate on 30th November with Demo Day where the teams will present their business plans in front of investors and corporates.
The selected startups include:
RideShare: It’s a carpooling startup, with its website and mobile app, which allows verified commuters to share, and find rides with other verified commuters and also facilitates cashless travelling and women-only rideshares.
Chauka: It offers mobile and web applications to help players connect with other players in their city, join matches and score matches on mobile. It also provides live scorecards, detailed match analysis and automatically updated profiles and ranks.
Mech Mocha: A mobile game development startup, Pablo and The Puppet Punch are the two games under development on its platform.
Fingify: It places advertisements on a phone’s lock screen and gives points to the mobile users whenever they unlock the phone, which can be later converted into mobile recharge.
Sosio: A cloud-based application which helps communities to raise funds for a social cause and manage their supporters/events. It manages contacts into a constituent relationship management, along with digital promotion, report generation etc.
QScript: It is a survey management solution that helps companies to collect survey data using mobile devices easily and efficiently. Its platform also supports audio visual questions – answers.
Gridle: A collaboration and enterprise software, it helps enterprises to organize everything and makes communication easy through visual, cloud and economical collaboration. Few features that it provides include file sharing, calendars and instant messaging etc.
EashMart: It allows users to make card payments with a tap on the mobile.
DoDataDo: A big data analytics startup for website owners, its tool DoDataDo allows website owners to monitor web traffic and it also provides actionable micro-insights to improve conversions, in real time. It also advises the website owners on how to take advantage of the web traffic.
Locator: It is a mobile utility location based service, it adopts user’s entire phonebook into its directory and provides them with location data of users on request, users can even share their own location with others and save addresses under a specific name.
It had announced applications for this batch earlier in June this year.
The iAccelerator program, since its inception in 2009, has supported over 45 startups through funding, business mentoring and guidance.
iAccelerator’s 2012 batch graduates include Tookitaki, Focaloid, PowerPlay Labs and Nukkad.
