GetitBazaar to offer its merchants an independent site, domain; ties up with shopify, Hostgator

get-bazarGetitBazaar, an open marketplace for eCommerce, has partnered with Singtel backed Shopify, an eCommerce Saas platform, to provide the SMEs associated with it, an opportunity to have an independent eCommerce website. The firm also made a tie up with domain name provider HostGator to provide sellers their own domain name thereby bringing value addition to the sellers associated.

The independent eCommerce platform and domain name will be available at an annual costing of INR 25000+taxes with no additional payment gateway charges. However, a nominal fees starting from INR100+taxes will be levied on the integrated order processing and payment collection mechanism offered by Getitbazaar.

The sellers not willing to avail the independent domain name offer, can continue with the standard Getitbazaar free store on the marketplace.

GetitBazaar, a part of Getit Infomedia group, works with the motto of providing ‘Online Shopping, Indian Style’. The sellers can list their products for free and can sell their products online either B2B or B2C, by just paying the logistics and payment gateway charges on actual transactions. Apart from this, the platform provides complete order processing service and manages sellers catalogue with full assistance.

Currently, there are more than 4500 stores live on GetitBazaar in categories such as Camera, Mobiles, Apparels, Beauty, Footwear, Bags, Jewelry, Furnishings and many more. Also, an app is available on Android for users to search for items, specials, shops, deals, festival offers, discounts and more.

GetitBazaar is in the process of forming more such alliances with global players in the field of eCommerce, in order to bring some great value propositions for its target audience, SMEs. The other partners associated with Getitbazaar include Aramex, Blue Dart, FedEx, Reliance, Vodafone and many more.

Apart from Getitbazaar, Infibeam has also made similar tie up with Buildabazaar previously. At the reverse side, SaaS players are also moving towards launching ecommerce portals, for instance Jumboten from Martjack.

At present, there are many individual ecommerce saas options available for Indian merchants such as Shopnix, purplestores, BuildaBazaar, Kartrocket, etc.However, with online marketplaces shaking hands with the saas platforms, an entirely new trend can be observed in the near future, thereby providing startups with more customized and cheaper platforms online with a much wider audience reach.
