GSF backed POKKT, an alternate mobile app monetization platform has raised seed round of funding led by Jungle Ventures and Samir Bangara, co-founder and MD of Qyuki.
Financial terms have been left undisclosed at the moment.
As monetization is the biggest challenge in digital content, products & services, POKKT helps app developers and publishers to address this challenge through an advertiser-funded model, through which they can significantly increase their monetization and convert non-paying users into paying users.
“We are getting great traction in the market and are confident of scaling POKKT multi-fold by the end of this year,” said Rohit Sharma, Co-founder, POKKT.
It plans to use the capital raised for team building.
Further the company also plans to expand in South East Asian markets and expects to gain significantly from Jungle Ventures’ extensive network in these markets.
POKKT was founded by Rohit Sharma, Ex-CEO, Digital Business Reliance ADA along with ex-colleagues Vaibhav Odhekar and Sharad Ingule. It was a part of the inaugural batch of GSF Accelerator and was among the five startups that received funding.
Jungle Ventures is a Singapore based entrepreneur backed venture firm that funds Asian Pacific startups. A few of its recent investments include travelmob (acquired by HomeAway), ebus (acquired by IMD Group), Zipdial and Mobikon Technologies.
Recently, Samir Bangara has also invested in Mobile dating app Thrill, mobile app Zapr etc. among others.
