Google Glass is considered as an innovation in the world of wearable devices. Indeed it serves a number of purposes unlike a gaming wearable headset. But for those, who love gaming more than anything else – the Glass could be next to useless – as it of course won’t give the same experience as an Oculus Rift 3D virtual reality headgear would.
Being a virtual reality gaming headset, Oculus Rift undoubtedly is on a move to revolutionize the gaming industry but considering its price, many would rather give up the thought. Moreover, before the company could even manage to get some traction for its $300 price tag device, another alternate of it is already planning its launch. And that too under $50.
vrAse, a soon-to-be-launched on Kickstarter project (hoping to raise £55,000 with the campaign), is approaching virtual reality from another direction. The device is a wearable headset which uses a smartphone’s display to offer 3D content unlike having its own screen like Oculus Rift. so just slide in your phone and get moving.
However, they didn’t mention how far your screen should be to avoid any permanent damage to your eyes.
So if someone don’t mind looking like a Phone face – its perfect for them as the device more or less looks like a mixture of gigantic, unattractive and functionally awkward – moreover a tiny hat. Please note that the compatible smartphones at launch, as stated by the company are the iPhone 5, HTC One, Xperia Z, Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2
