Indian startups shine in ARK Challenge II held at Bentonville, Langhar and Info Assembly gains USD 150,000 of funding

the-ark-logoDelhi based social eat out platform Langhar and an investment search & analysis platform, Info Assembly founded by Aditya Goel and Karthik Vaidyanath has recently raised USD 150,000 in funding as a part of second installment of the ARK Challenge startup accelerator held in Bentonville.

ARK challenge , a Northwest Arkansas-based entrepreneurial bootcamp challenge was a 14 weeks programme, which recently completed its second year. Apart from Langhar and Info Assembly, a third company, Overwatch was also announced as a winner of the challenge.

In all, there were nine teams in final challenge from Arkansas, South America and India which also received $20,000 in seed funding along with mentorship during a three-month boot camp. All bootcamp participants were provided with a 24×7 access to ‘The Iceberg’, Northwest Arkansas’ new coworking facility located in the heart of downtown Fayetteville, and its amenities.

Here is a brief overview of the winning teams:

langerLanghar: Langhar is a web/mobile app to provide a marketplace for ordering dishes cooked by people at their homes. It is Based in Delhi and led by Karanpreet Singh, Pankaj Sharma, Pawan Saini, and Sunil Kumar. The startup aims at utilizing the raised funds to scale its operations in India, acquire customers in Delhi and for further expansion in cities such as mumbai. info-ssemblyInfo Assembly: Info Assembly is an initiative of Delhi based entrepreneurs with company headquartered in USA. The platform basically provides investment research with features such as Data democratization, conversion of data into knowledge, Quick investment insights and Financial contextualization.

overwatchOverwatch: A sole winner from Arkansas, Overwatch is a mobile app which can connect smartphone to the video games. It will provide features such as  Live GPS Radar to track enemies and friendlies, Voice Chat to keep in contact with teammates, and In-Game Perks to give gaming teams the competitive edge.
