Touch and feel has always been a barrier while shopping online for apparel, but customers also face issues while selecting the right size as well. There are various international web-stores that offers virtual fitting feature to their customers, thus allowing them to choose the correct size and provide them the idea about how that particular dress will look on them.
In a step to overcome the hurdle of touch and feel in apparel shopping, Indian ethnic wear e-tailer, Cbazaar has recently launched a “Virtual Fitting” feature on the website, which will allow users to have perspective of dress from multiple angles.
The new feature will allow consumers to have a 360 degree review, where they can revolve the mannequins draped in the dress in different angles to provide the entire look of the dress.
It also has a size calculator, which recommends size based on customer’s body dimensions and also makes recommendations on whether any tightening or loosening is required for a particular product.
With this, there is also an add on feature called Ramp-Walk, which provides an animated representation of a simulated mannequin ramp walk, thus helps customers to understand the fabric fall and texture.
Lets have a look at the features
The feature is currently available on few products. (Users can use the following product codes to try the feature: SL20A211358, SL20A211359, SL20G182175, SL20G184744, SLMZN1274)
Recently, fashion and lifestyle retailer Myntra has acquired virtual fitting technology startup, Fitiquette.
Cbazaar offers ethnic wear for men, women and kids in over 130 countries, last year it had raised USD 3.5 million Series A Funding from Inventus Capital Partners and Ojas Venture Partners. It competes with other ethnic wear retailers like Utsav Fashions, Indianroots, etc.
