Amazon.in has recently forayed into Fashion and lifestyle categories with the launch of two new stores: Fashion Jewellery and Watches. The news has come into the light after a possible rumor, that Amazon will soon turn out to be a competition to the existing players such as Flipkart, Myntra, Jabong, Yebhi with its recent move.
Having a collection of over 27,000 products from over 180 brands and designers, the company claims to feature the “largest selection of Jewellery and watches in India” – considering online and offline, both.
“We have been very passionate about offering an eclectic collection. Designs range from international to tribal, from spunky to ethnic from established brands to new designers and all of these at great prices. Every month we will present a special trendy collection. Check out this month’s Haute new Ethno mod look with old and colourful pieces, where East meets the west.” said Narendra Kumar, renowned Fashion Designer and Creative Head at Amazon India
For its Fashion store, one can choose from over 22,000 styles and designs across products like necklaces, earrings, bracelets, jewellery sets, anklets and cufflinks. With a starting price of INR 49, its products range goes to as much as over INR 40,000. Amazon has undergone exclusive tie ups with designers like ‘Valliyan’ by Nitya Arora, a Mumbai based designer; ‘Made by M’ by Mansi Choksi, funky designer pieces using myriad of stones; ‘Dhora’ from Jaipur based designers Aavriti Jain & Siddharth Daspan, showcasing Indian Karigari; and many more.
In its Watch store, one can find over 5500 products – having a 30 days return policy – from more than 50 leading brands including Casio, Timex, Titan, Fastrack, Fossil, Esprit, Tommy Hilfiger, Guess and many more.
Launched in June, Amazon.in offers Indian online shoppers with a large range of products under categories like Books, eBooks, Computers & Accessories; Mobiles & Accessories; Cameras & Photography; Portable Media Players; Toys & Games; Baby Products; Personal Care Appliances; Health Care Devices; and now Watches and Jewellery.
