Mobile video viewing has been growing at phenomenal pace, but it often happens that Video loading times and frequent buffering often frustrate users.
On its mission of “No Buffering”, mobile video and media company, Vuclip has recently launched a Dynamic Adaptive TranscodingTM technology, which would allow buffer-free play of videos across any network and mobile device.
The new technology will enable simultaneous transcoding and optimization of the content to each specific device and dynamically adapts the video stream to the constantly varying bandwidth of carrier and Wi-Fi networks.
Vuclip’s Android app which had debuted in the Google Play store in July has already been downloaded more than a million users and received around 3,000 reviews.
Vuclip reaches more than 80 million unique users monthly around the world.
Vuclip is headquartered in Milpitas, California with offices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Singapore, Dubai, Shenzhen, Beijing and Ottawa. Last year, Vuclip raised USD 13 million in Series D funding led by SingTel Innov8, a new strategic investor, and existing investors NEA and Jafco Ventures and in 2009 they raised USD 8 million in series C funding led by NEA and Jafco. Earlier this year, it has also acquired, a mobile video streaming company, Jigsee.
