VentureNursery opens up applications for its fourth Acceleration Program

venturenursery-logoAfter setting up a new milestone in the startup ecosystem, getting over 500 very early stage applicants from over 40 Indian cities in the previous three programs, VentureNursery has recently announced its forthcoming 13-week Acceleration Program that begins October 1, 2013.

VentureNursery at present focuses on six sectors – Media & Entertainment, Retail, e-Commerce, Consumer Technology, Education and CleanTech. In addition to the Angels-in-Residence and Charter Angels, Venture Nursery works with Advisors-in-Residence and Executives-in-Residence to provide complete support to the start-ups.

According to Apoorv Sharma, Executive Vice President, VentureNursery, the Indian startup ecosystem is at present going through a ‘Golden Age’ wherein young entrepreneurs are eyeing big dreams and professionals are taking chances and reaching them to create next Googles of the world. However, most of them fail completely in planning aspect, but the fact that they are open to accept the gaps augurs a good beginning as per Shravan Shroff, Co-founder, VentureNursery.

Previously, in Season 1 and 2, Venture Nursery took six startups, viz., InterviewMaster, KLIP, SmartSample, Shopveg and The Venturator. The Season-3 included, Catapooolt, iLeathergraph, Peter’s Pan and Trelta.

The Mumbai based Accelerator will select eight start-ups after a 4 week selection process. The results will be declared by September 2013 end. Applications by early stage start-ups can be submitted online at till August 31, 2013.

Also recently, Silicon Valley based accelerator 500 Startups has open up its 7th batch for applications, to start its batch  from Oct 7th this year.
