Startup Accelerator, GSF has announced 12 startups that have participated in second batch of its accelerator program which ran for 10 weeks across Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai.
The program provides the startups with access to venture & business networks, personalized & intensive mentoring and initial capital in the domains of mobile, cloud, big data, digital media, core-tech, and e-commerce marketplaces.
Here is a quick look of the selected startups
Clinchpad: An alternative to traditional CRMs Clinchpad is a modern web app, which provide simplified sales CRM for SMEs to manage a sales pipeline.
PosterGully: An online marketplace helping designers, brands & businesses with high fan-base to monetize their brand value through merchandise. Working on a ‘Just in Time’ model with no investment from the brands, it handles the technology, designing as well as complete fulfillment. It has already crossed 10K+ transactions with 250K+ unique visitors.
Trip Tern: It is an automatic, personalized trip planner where users just have to select city, number of days, interests, budget and it automatically prepares the most optimal itinerary. It also allows users to archive their most valuable memories and share them.
Browntape.com: It is a SaaS based service for internet sellers to start selling on multiple Indian marketplaces. It integrates with various marketplaces to bring the merchant’s orders from various channels into one single window where they can manage shipping, maintain central inventory and see a common sales analytics, etc.
Timesaverz: Launched 6 months back, Timesaverz is a curated marketplace for home-services which help users outsource their home management activities. It caters to core home management services like handyman jobs, appliances repair and servicing, cleaning jobs, etc.
Airstream: Based in Pune and incorporated as Nityaa Technosys Pvt Ltd, AirStream is a personal cloud that lets users stream personal content stored on computers & Hard-Drives on mobile devices. Currently it is available only for Android and has over more than 75,000 downloads with majority users from US & Europe.
TradeStreet: An online network for trading and investing. It allows users to connect directly with the traders and invest with the ‘original thinkers’. However, the website currently is under development phase.
Swym: Headquartered in Seattle, WA, Swym is founded by senior executives from Microsoft, Yahoo and Amazon. It is a smart “shopping mailbox” for consumers, it helps consumers to easily receive and manage targeted promotional emails from their favorite retailers, on their mobile devices.
RidingO: It is an online ride-sharing platform that connects riders and drivers to safely share rides in their car with other trustworthy people with similar background using a patent-able route matching algorithm.
DhilCare: Aiming to address affordability and accessibility issues in preliminary cardiac treatment in India, Dhilcare has designed a personal ECG machine for heart patients to get diagnoses and prescriptions remotely from cardiologists. Its mobile app also provide printer less ECG rating.
Tinysurprise: It is a curated marketplace for gifting items. It focuses only on two categories – unique gifts & baked goods procured from home bakers across India.
Flinto: It is a subscription based monthly activity box for kids aged 3-7 years, designed to engage children in a meaningful way at home.
The Accelerator Program will culminate in a two-day conference, GSF #WhereDoWeGONow on August 21 and 22, 2013 in Bangalore, where all these selected startups will pitch to angel investors and venture capitalists from across India and the world.
GSF Accelerator was founded by former Reliance Entertainment President Rajesh Sawhney with 15 startups into its inaugural batch out of which eight have have raised additional funding and GSF has participated in four of those rounds.
