Apple has acquired Swedish startup AlgoTrim for an undisclosed amount, according to the media reports. AlgoTrim provides solutions for mobile devices within the field of data compression, mobile imaging and video, and computer graphics.
There is no update from Apple regarding the acquisition. Anders Holtsberg, head of software development at AlgoTrim has confirmed to Rapidus, Sweden’s industry news service that he is now working for Apple but declined to comment anything further.
AlgoTrim is specialized in compression algorithms for mobile phones, it builds codecs and designs solutions which help to maximize the performance of data compression, mobile imaging and video, and computer graphics.
