VentureNursery announced third batch of it’s accelerator program

India’s first angel backed startup accelerator, VentureNursery has announced its third batch of the accelerator program with 5 startups who will undergo training and will graduate by the year end.

As a part of the 13-weeks program, the selected startups will undergo mentoring by several entrepreneurs, angels members, VCs, technologists and senior corporate managers followed by a demo day to pitch to angels in Venture Nursery.

Shravan Shroff, Co founder, VentureNursery on the occasion said, “The third acceleration batch at Venture Nursery is unique as all the selected entrepreneurs have valuable previous work-experience and their ventures have already made a mark in their respective sectors.”

The selected startups include-

Catapooolt: It is a crowdfunding platform focused on Movies, Music and Entertainment projects, offering a 3-tier reward system, connects creative Asian entrepreneurs to global diaspora. Creative entrepreneurs can use it to get funding and mentoring support, whereas the communities and masses use it for rewards associated with their contribution. It was launched in March 2013 in partnership with the Hong Kong International Film Festival’s finance forum.

iLeathergraph:  Founded by a former Venture Capitalist Rattan Joneja, iLeathergraph is a personalised leather products company specialising in transcribing the Customer Identity, Autograph or Monogram designs on the product. It’s personalised products are used for travel, mobile phones, digital gadgets, business accessories as well as the traditional categories like wallets and bags . Its a News recommendation system, targeted towards online publishers, blogs and media houses. It uses machine learning and natural language processing techniques. The recommendation engine directs readers to other related articles, there by helping them to get an informed perspective on a chosen topic.

Peter’s Pan: It is a Quick Service Restaurant offering all day dining options for all age groups at affordable prices. It offers wholesome food ranging from eggs, pancakes, waffles to pastas, pizzas and exotic meals. As western style Breakfast and Brunch are fast becoming popular across age groups and these option are only available at Star restaurants, Peter’s Pan plans to bridge the gap for this demand. It is founded by Amit Sharma, a serial entrepreneur, who had earlier launched Eggsunday! a food outlet in Mumbai-Pune expressway.

Trelta: An online patient management platform,Trelta aims to make healthcare easy and accessible for everyone in India, by connecting doctors, patients, laboratories and pharmacies. Cofounded by Varun Achar and Vaishali Singh, who were previously part of the R&D team at Zycus Infotech Pvt. Ltd. and the core team of Indian social network for families–, it had recently launched a practice building tool for doctors, which is a web based desktop with apps.

VentureNursery was established in March 2012 by Angel investors Shravan Shroff, Founder and former MD, Fame Cinemas and Ravi Kiran, former CEO-South East & South Asia, Starcom MediaVest Group and Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Friends of Ambition. It conducts two boot programs every year.

Its second batch was concluded in April this year with startups including Klip, Smart Sample, Interview Master & The Venturator; out of which Klip & Interview Master have recently raised investments from angels of Venture Nursery and more investment is likely to be announced soon.
