Titan Industries launches a dedicated portal for its consumer brands

Titan Industries has recently launched a dedicated online portal for its portfolio brands such as Tanishq, Titan Eye+, Fastrack etc.

The portal will now be selling  jewelry, watches, eyewear and accessories through this one single store.

“Ecommerce is mixture of both brand building and the type of customer base. The response we have got have been more than encouraging. Ever since launch in April and yet to be commencing marketing activities the amount of traffic and the number of visitors is actually very good. Because its largely on the basis of brand and the company we are associated,” said Alokdeep, Head Ecommerce, Titan. The launch was first reported by Medianama.

The company declined to share the numbers in terms of customers and orders, saying that its pretty early to share. The estore has been able to attract NRI audience using the platform for sending gifts in India. Although, It is not servicing international shipping but given the type of demand it is generating in the overseas market, the company may look for international shipping in future.

The site has added filters in each product category to make the selection process easier for the customers, such in case of watch one can choose on the basis of product, gender, style, strap, etc.

For now it has listed over 6,000 products across categories including watches, eyewear, accessories from around 10 brands which include Tanishq, Fastrack, Zoya, Sonata, etc.

It is Delivering to over 5000 pin codes across the country and ship between 3-5 days depending upon the locations.

For payments it is accepting credit cards, debit cards or net banking, but has not included Cash on Delivery. It is expected that it may add the COD option soon.

Titan already had a different portal for Fastrack and Tanishq though Tanishq has been been merged with Titan’s website whereas Fastrack is still operating on the same website.

Titan Industries was launched back in 1984 with a joint venture between the Tata Group and the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation, presenting Titan quartz watches. Later with Sonata and then Fastrack it touched all the segments of population. The company has sold over 150 million watches world over and manufactures over 15 million watches every year.
